Dry Oils for RUFF Skin by: Lorrie Durbin My husband and I have two wonderful dogs. Our "boy" Dusty is ten and our "girl" Lexi is two. Dusty gets very bad dry skin on his back near his tail. He chews at it and ends up chewing the hair out and making the skin raw and sensitive, which completes the downward spiral of chewing again. We tried other oils, including Skin-So-Soft and although some worked, he left oily prints on furniture, rugs, clothing and bedding. Then we saw the Watkins Dry Oil spray and decided to try one. We sprayed it on his back and rubbed it in a little to get the healing process going. He stopped chewing immediately and left it alone for a day. We sprayed more the next day and rubbed it in, and continued to do this daily for the past two weeks now. His skin has healed and the hair is almost fully restored. He feels better since it is not so sensitive anymore. In fact, he occasionally comes up to us and whines, then looks at the spray bottle and whines again while presenting his butt to be sprayed and rubbed. So if your pet has a dry skin problem, and you don't want to pay for the expensive pet-only creams and oils, try Watkins Dry Oil sprays. They are "Dusty-approved" and if we understand what dogs say, he asks for it by name. ;-) o o o O o |
