I started in Watkins in Dec 1992. My friend was having a Watkins home show and I really didn't know too much about Watkins. I couldn't make her show, but I went to a show booked off of her show. I was really amazed at all the products and how well the cleaners worked. I couldn't stay for the whole show ,but I wanted to find out more about it. I booked my show for the following Sunday and really didn't care who showed up as I just wanted to see the products for myself.I had 6 people attend and we had a great time. The food made with the Watkins products was delicious! I had a stain in my tub and a closet full of cleaners that promised to take it out and didn't. The associate that did the show said she had a cleaner that would work. We applied it and let it sit while we watched the show demos. Then 20 mins. later we checked to see what the cleaner had done and my stain was gone! I was impressed!! The associate showed me copies of her cheques that she made off of Watkins and that really impressed me. I had never seen a multi-level business that you could actually make money at.Since all the products are everyday grocery items, I wasn't spending out of my budget . I really just wanted to get the product for my own use.So I thought I might as well get a discount on my own products. I signed up that night and purchased my product kit. That is when my life changed. I started telling neighbors and friends about how good these products were. As soon as they heard Watkins, they wanted a catalog. The first week  I showed 5 people the catalog and ended up with a $300.00 order. The next week, I showed some more family and friends. They started to tell me stories of how the products helped them and I found I was learning  about Watkins from their experiences. The next week again, I had another $300.00 order and this was just before Christmas! I thought wow, there is something to this. After Christmas, I decided to work this business to make money. I made a list of my friends and started calling them and asking them if they would have a party for me to help me get going. I had 10 parties booked for January. I ended up signing up all my hostess' plus they started signing people and soon my business was flying. I haven't looked back since and every person I signed up at the beginning are still in business with me today! I felt really good to help mom's be able to stay home with children, help people afford new vehicles, pay off bills, purchase furniture and new homes. We were able to purchase a lakeshore lot and build a cottage at the lake, plus purchase a larger home for our growing family. Our Watkins business gave us a new lifestyle change and helped us afford the things we couldn't before. We've earned trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and the Bahamas plus travelled to places we never would of went before. We've built friendships with other associates from all over Canada and the U.S.A.
