It is so hard to narrow down my favorite Watkins products, but I'd like to share some of what I think are the best...and why.

• Double-strength Vanilla just can't be beat -- although you're only supposed to use half of what a recipe calls for, I don't even tend to measure...and I put it in everything I bake!  I love showing potential customers the difference between Watkins and any other kind -- rub a drop of Watkins vanilla on one finger, a drop of any other kind on another finger.  Smell them...and you'll immediately notice a difference -- smell again in five minutes, and you'll understand why DS vanilla is the best!
• Cinnamon -- not only is the "regular" cinnamon remarkable in flavor, I love to add a dash of Saigon cinnamon to many things I bake, especially French toast.  It tastes like red-hots!
• Beef and chicken soup bases -- I add these to much of my cooking; just a couple tablespoons of beef base on a roast makes a huge difference, adding all kinds of wonderful flavor and giving the start of some great tasting gravy!  Best of all -- no MSG!
• Cooking Spray -- a friend told me that she was informed one can of Watkins cooking spray will last over a year.  Not believing it, she bought and dated a can...over a year later, she still has more than half a can left!  It also doesn't "bake on" pans, leaving no sticky yellow residue.  I love it!
• Herbs and spices -- I can't believe I ever cooked with those cheap 99 cent containers of herbs.  Sure, they saved me money, but the flavor Watkins herbs and spices brings to my cooking makes it worth any additional cost.  Plus, the quality of the herbs and spices adds flavors I never realized herbs and spices had!
• Pizza Seasoning -- a dash of this on top of foccaccia or bread sticks adds just the right amount of dash.  Put it on pizza, and oo-la-la!
• ANYTHING in the menthol line -- the menthol camphor salve works great on any of us when we're fighting colds (much better than Vicks) -- and it got rid of my husband's toe nail fungus, too!  The bath salts are perfect when I'm stuffy with sinuses or just fighting insomnia.  Just one whiff of that aroma makes my whole body relax.  The spray is great for freshening a room when everyone is fighting stuffy noses, but by far, the best are the breathe easy Menthol Lavendar drops.  Put a drop or two on your pillow before bed, or rub a dab on the palms of your hands, take a deep breath and....ahhhh!  It just clears you up.  No more snoring in our house at night!
• Supplements -- I use quite a few of them and noticed some changes immediately; others over a few weeks.  I have severe arthritis in both knees (bone on bone), yet within two days of taking Linimax there is no more pain.  Recently, my husband and my toddlers all had nasty springtime colds -- stuffy noses, feeling blah, the usual stuff -- yet I never got it (amazing, when you think about the hugs, kisses, cuddles, etc.) and I'm positive it's because I've been taking Rezist Plus.  I'm realizing that I'm getting older, too -- I'm over 40 now and didn't think anything of it until I noticed I had to pull back when reading small print, yikes!  I started taking the Vision Plus and didn't notice the difference until I started reading the ingredients of the Children's Chewables (a favorite of my children) at one of the Good Tastings parties -- no more leaning far back to "try" and read!  Everything was clear again, I kid you not.  Plus, at my eye doctor's appointment, my vision actually IMPROVED 25%!  And the Skin, Hair, and Nails has finally helped my nails become strong again, my hair get thicker and shinier, and my skin clear up.  I'm a firm believer in my Watkins supplements and am really glad to use them (plus, they get into your blood stream within 20 minutes of taking them...they are actually absorbed into your body, unlike most supplements on the market).
• The new All-Natural Plant-based Cleaning Products are remarkable!  I was hesitant to start using them until I noticed mildew on the inside of our shower.  I thought I'd make my first try and big test...and, the Citrus Tub and Tile cleaner came through!  No mold, mildew, hard water stains, nothing!  The All Purpose Cleaners and Concentrates work miracles in this house of preschoolers -- if it gets dirty, the a/p makes it clean -- laundry stains, tables, carpets, counters, you name it!  The Lemon Furniture Polish successfully and quickly removed water stains that even Murphy's Oil Soap didn't touch.  And the Dish Soaps and Hand Soaps clean so well, even grease and baked on gunk.  They don't lather up much, but hey -- chemicals are what causes all those bubbles in your soaps!  But my favorite is the Liquid Lemon Laundry Detergent.  This stuff is GREAT!  From the undies of my independent 4-year-old to the jeans and shirts of my farmer husband, grease and anything else you can imagine are completely removed with no other help (well, sometimes the all purpose cleaner for tomato stains).  Plus, there is a natural soy softener that makes everything so soft without laundry softeners (filled with chemicals), even when I line dry!
• I saved Petro Carbo Salve for last because this is a miracle cure-all, at least in our household.  When my daughter had chicken pox so bad she couldn't even sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time, I covered her body with Petro Carbo -- she healed up in just a couple days and never even went thru the itchy stage!  I'd tried countless things when I started experiencing dried, painfully cracked feet after moving to Minnesota.  Nothing worked....until I'd start putting PC on my feet at night; once a week for a month, and I've not needed it for many months now.  My husband also gets dry, cracked hands from constantly being out in all kinds of weather (farm life, you know!) -- this is the first and only thing he's found that prevents his hands from getting dried out, let alone cracked.  It has quickly healed countless boo-boos in our home (Mama, I have an owie, get the Petro Carbo!), including drawing out splinters, healing diaper rash and other rashes, and stopping the itch of bug bites and more.  I can't imagine life without Petro Carbo!

So there you have it.  My most favorite products and why.  Of course, if there was room and you'd be willing to keep reading, I'd continue with why I enjoy even more products.
